Pre-arrival information

Thank you again for registering to attend the SMSF Association National Conference 2022 to be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 20-22 April 2022.

Please see below information that may assist you in preparing for your attendance at the Conference.

COVID-19 Symptoms or contact

If you are feeling unwell and display COVID-19 symptoms (loss or change in sense of smell or taste, fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or runny nose), if you may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, or in the last 14 days you have travelled from overseas or a COVID-19 transmission site and/or have been directed to isolate, please do not attend the Conference as you will not be permitted entry in to the Convention Centre. Get tested and quarantine at home or accommodation property until test results are received.

If at any stage during Conference you develop symptoms, please immediately depart the Conference venue, visit this website to find a testing location, and isolate until you receive a negative result. 

Face coverings

As of 14 April, masks are no longer required to be worn whilst at the Conference. Please note the Association supports participants wearing a face mask should they feel more comfortable doing so. 

Last-Minute Cancellations and Unforeseen Factors That May Affect Your Attendance

We recognise that your ability to attend the Conference may be impacted at short notice by COVID-19. If you are unable to attend the Conference you must cancel your in-person attendance in writing by email to [email protected]. A virtual registration will be offered, with any difference in price refunded. 

If you will no longer be attending the Conference in Adelaide for any reason, we ask that you please contact the Conference Office as soon as possible.

Entry intro South Australia

At this stage there are no restrictions on domestic entry in to South Australia. We recommend you check the South Australian Governments COVID-19 website for the most up to date restrictions prior to your travel.

Adelaide Convention Centre Entry Requirement

As a reminder, the Adelaide Convention Centre is a fully vaccinated venue. All person’s aged 16+ entering the Centre will be required to show their COVID-19 Digital Certificate or medical exemption details. Further details on this requirement can be found here.

Information desk

The Information Desk will be located on the Ground Level of the Adelaide Convention Centre, outside of Hall H. This is best accessible via the Central Entrance Doors which are at the top of the escalator off North Terrace.

Exhibition hall

The Conference Exhibition Hall will be located in Hall H on the Ground Level of the ACC. The Exhibition Hall will operate during the following hours:

Name badges

For security purposes we ask that you wear your name badge at all times, including to social functions. You will be required to scan your name badge for entry into sessions to obtain CPD hours (as well as in to social functions; your name badge will be scanned on exit for back to back sessions in the same room). Delegates without a name badge will not be permitted entry into sessions, social functions or the exhibition area.

Social Functions

All social functions are included in the cost of your registration, however indication of attendance is required. Please check your registration information above to ensure you have indicated your attendance should you wish to attend.

Please note that all delegates and guests attending the social functions are required to wear their name badge at all times. If you have invited a guest to attend a social function, please ensure they are with you at your time of entering the function room so that their attendance can be marked off.

Please contact the Conference Office if you wish to add or cancel any social event tickets to your registration, or book any additional accompanying guest tickets.

Catering & Special Requirements

All catering will be served in the Exhibition Hall, located in Hall H on the Ground Level of the ACC.

Every effort will be made to accommodate all special dietary requirements and/or special needs; however, advance notification is required. If you did not provide this information at the time of registering, please advise via email to the Conference Office.  Please note the ability to assist with ‘pop-up’ diets once onsite is severely restricted due to COVID Safe measures.

The Centre is conveniently located at the heart of the City. To the North, the Centre overlooks the River Torrens and surrounding parklands, while to the South, the Centre sits on North Terrace, one of four major terraces that bind Adelaide’s City Centre.

The Adelaide Riverbank Precinct is a hive of activity and where the City’s cultural, sporting, education, medical, conference and entertainment zones merge, making it Australia’s best connected business events precinct.  In addition to the Centre, Adelaide Oval and Adelaide SkyCity Casino, the Riverbank Precinct is home to the world-leading BioMed City—the largest life and health sciences cluster in the Southern Hemisphere—which is located right next door.

COVID-Safe Practices

The Adelaide Convention Centre has a comprehensive COVID Management Plan in place which has been approved by the South Australian Government. Key measures of this plan include:

  • All persons aged 16+ are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To enter, you must provide proof of vaccination or provide relevant medical-exemption documentation.
  • Increased frequency and intensity of cleaning and disinfecting, with emphasis on high volume areas and touch points.
  • COVID Safe food and beverage service.
  • Extensive, ongoing COVID Safe staff education and training.
  • Physical distancing protocols, including guest traffic management and safe venue entry.
  • COVID Marshals in attendance at all events.
