The SMSF Association has lined up an impressive list of speakers for its second SMSF + Investor Expo being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 21-22 June.
Heading the list on 21 June will be the Assistant Minister for Superannuation, Financial Services and Financial Technology, Senator the Hon Jane Hume, who can be expected to outline what the newly elected Coalition Government aims to achieve in superannuation and financial services over the next three years.
Dana Fleming, the Assistant Commissioner, SMSF Segment Superannuation and Employer Obligations, Australian Taxation Office, will use her session to spell out trustee obligations.
Other keynote speakers include Tim Slattery, Managing Director/CEO, of the APN Property Group, who will explain how commercial property can deliver a stable and predictable income stream, Andrew Varlamos, the Co-Founder/CEO of OpenInvest, on finding trusted professional assistance online, and Peter Switzer, Founder of the Switzer Financial Group, looking at investment opportunities for SMSFs and investors.
SMSF Association CEO John Maroney says: “The calibre of speakers addressing this two-day Expo makes it a must-attend event for anyone managing their own super, thinking of doing so, or simply a self-directed investor.
