Darwin: Have your client’s retired?

This is an E-Facilitated Event

OVERVIEW

The core purpose of superannuation is providing a benefit in retirement – but what does retirement really mean?
The word is defined in the superannuation legislation but the practicalities of when your clients have retired vary enormously.
This online training will explore the practical circumstances of what it means to be retired in order for your client to access their superannuation benefits without breaching the super rules.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of this session participants should be able to:

• Understand the relationship between the key three elements of the definition of ‘retirement’
• Examine when it’s possible to still work yet to technically satisfy the definition of ‘retirement’
• Consider how the concept of retirement interacts with the preservation and contribution rules
