North Shore – The need for better estate planning in SMSF’s.


Estate planning, wills, death benefits and SMSFs are a potent blend involving family members who sometimes don’t see eye to eye. The courts continue to see a queue of cases involving trustees who have a conflict of interest.

During this presentation Graeme Colley, Executive Manager, SMSF Technical and Private Wealth, Super Concepts will discuss his understanding of recent cases where conflict of interest were examined and how the issues may have been solved with better estate planning.

Graeme Colley SSA

Graeme Colley is the Executive Manager, Technical and High Wealth at Super Concepts where is responsible for its private client program, technical support and education programs. As a well-known figure in the SMSF community with a long-standing reputation as an accomplished SMSF educator, technical expert and advocate for the sector.

Graeme has co-authored a number of books and publications on superannuation. He lectures at the University of Western Sydney in the Masters of Commerce and at the University of NSW as an adjunct lecturer. He also has experience with a number of leading fund managers and consultants.
