Summary

Michelle first came across SMSFs in 2001 and recognised the need for specialist attention to effectively service clients and stay across all of the relevant SIS and Tax legislative requirements. Form there Michelle created and managed dedicated SMSF compliance teams with some of Canberra's leading mid-tier accounting firms. After the swathe of legislative changes that swept through the industry in 2007, Michelle joined the Self Managed Super Fund Association and in 2011 became an SMSF Specialist Advisor and was appointed Chair of the ACT & Region Chapter. Since then Michelle has continually strived for perfection in SMSF compliance and has been providing strategic tax advice to SMSF clients. Michelle joined RSM Australia in September 2013 and in a relatively short time has implemented a new SMSF administration process which was adopted nationally across all RSM offices, creating a national standard approach to SMSF administration and best practice for SMSF engagements.
