As cryptocurrency holdings increasingly feature in SMSFs and investment portfolios, auditors face mounting pressure to verify digital assets with confidence and avoid qualified opinions.
This session explores the key challenges in auditing crypto assets, including identity and control verification, wallet classifications, valuation timing, and custody risks. It also introduces the Digital Asset Attestation Platform (DAAP), a RegTech solution developed by DACS, which supports the generation of tamper-proof audit evidence using blockchain-based tools.
