Summary

I am a lawyer based in Canberra, primarily working with clients in the Family Law and Estate Planning space. In these areas, I primarily work with clients with complex property arrangements, involving taxation issues, trusts, and superannuation (including SMSFs). While based in Canberra, I assist clients with Family Law and Estate matters Australia-wide and internationally. I am one of a few lawyers in Canberra and the surrounding region who are SSAs. I can assist clients with issues concerning SMSFs in these spaces and generally where legal advice is required. This includes advice on superannuation splitting arrangements and the appropriate wording of orders, issues that may arise with SMSFs concerning Family Law property settlements and planning for the death and/or incapacity of SMSF members and trustees. I can perform valuations of Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation interests (CSS, PSS, DFRDB and MSBS), for family law purposes for clients and other solicitors as required and can advise clients on the treatment of such interests as they relate to Family Law property settlements. I have a Master of Applied Law, majoring in Estate Planning and am a trained collaborative law practitioner. I aim to work with clients through creative and interest-based problem-solving, and engaging other professionals as required, to advise clients and generate outcomes that meet all parties’ needs and goals.
