Summary

Hanz Haroon is a Chartered Accountant and registered tax agent, and runs HS3B Accounting & Advisory, a small accounting practice based in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. He works mainly with self-managed super funds (SMSFs), tax planning, and small business clients. Hanz helps people set up and run their SMSFs properly; from getting the structure right, to planning for retirement, to more complex strategies like using super to buy property. He's also developed a strong interest in ethical and Shariah-compliant investing, helping clients grow their super in a way that fits with their values. Hanz built HS3B from scratch as a one-person practice, and has grown it from doing the basic compliance work into offering real, practical advice. He enjoys helping trustees understand their super instead of just doing the paperwork for them — including keeping them across new rules. Outside the practice, Hanz is also looking into offering tax advice for people and businesses with international ties, particularly around the Middle East and South Asia.
