Technical expertise is fundamental to quality SMSF advice. Equally important, however, is the ability to navigate the greatest challenges that arise when legal, ethical and human factors all collide.

Using practical SMSF scenarios, this session explores situations where the law, client wishes and professional obligations do not always neatly align. Drawing on examples involving ageing and vulnerable clients, death and succession planning, diminished capacity, family influence, adviser conflicts and other complex professional dilemmas, Colin Jowell will examine how behavioural factors can shape decision-making and explore ethical frameworks that support sound professional judgement.

This webinar will equip participants with practical tools for navigating the complex human behaviours, competing interests and ethical dilemmas that can arise in SMSF practice, particularly where there is no obvious right answer.
