Four workshops on the agenda for 2020 National Conference

Delegates attending the SMSF Association National Conference on the Gold Coast from 19-21 February will have a choice of four workshops to attend over the two-and-half day event.

The workshops have proved very popular with delegates at past conferences, and this year the issues of death benefit planning, ageing clients, the sole purpose test and SMSF auditing are on the agenda.

The “Dealing with death – Better the devil you know” workshop will be available on all three days, “Ageing clients, advice and ethics” on Wednesday and Thursday, “Repurposing sole purpose” on Thursday and Friday and “Auditor workshop” on Thursday.

SMSF Association CEO John Maroney says: “The workshops have become an integral part of the technical program at the National Conference, with the feedback we have received from delegates in the past being extremely positive about how this format facilitates their understanding of a complex issue.

“We also have secured seven experts in their respective fields to run this year’s workshops that can only enhance their educational value.

“Delegates who are interested in one of these four topics are encouraged to register quickly as there is a limited number of spots and experience shows they are quickly taken up.”

Registration opens at 6.30am (AEDT) on Tuesday, 21 January. To register click on this link: https://www.smsfassociation.com/conference/#registration
