SMSF Association ends 18th National Conference on a high note

The 2022 SMSF Association National Conference returned to the Adelaide Convention Centre this week, reminding the nearly 1000 delegates who attended this year’s event why this is their preferred conference format.

SMSF Association CEO John Maroney says: “After more than two years, it was extremely exciting to see our loyal members enjoy all the benefits of a live event.

“It demonstrated that they still have a strong appetite for the networking and educational opportunities that our National Conferences always deliver. Although COVID still presented some challenges – the Association also offered a virtual format that nearly 300 took advantage of – we were always determined to make this a physical event.

“The positive feedback I have received from delegates, speakers, and exhibitors about the event confirms we made the right decision.”

Maroney thanked the more than 50 companies drawn from a wide cross section of the SMSF sector that contributed to a lively Exhibition Hall atmosphere.

“For these exhibitors to make this commitment in these times is a testimony to both the appeal of the National Conference and their belief in the vibrancy of the SMSF sector.

“I also want to thank the expert speakers who spent countless hours on their presentations, guaranteeing their return to the stage was a memorable one for delegates.

“Lastly, let me thank our members who made the effort to come to Adelaide, in the process reinforcing why our National Conference is the pre-eminent event on the SMSF calendar.”

Next year the National Conference returns to Melbourne from 22-24 February.
