The SMSF Association is pleased to announce the reappointment of Scott Hay-Bartlem as Chair of the board, alongside the appointment of Meg Heffron as Vice-Chair, effective February 2026.
This marks Mr Hay-Bartlem’s third term as Chair. Ms Heffron, who joined the Board in January 2025, has served for more than a year as one of the Association’s seven directors and will now step into the role of Vice-Chair.
Mr Hay-Bartlem is an SMSF Association Fellow and Partner at Cooper Grace Ward, where he specialises in providing tax and superannuation advice, particularly in relation to self managed superannuation funds (SMSFs). He is widely recognised for his technical expertise and longstanding contribution to the SMSF profession.
Ms Heffron is also an SMSF Association Fellow and SMSF Specialist Adviser, and serves as Managing Director of Heffron Consulting. With more than two decades of experience in the SMSF sector, she is highly regarded for her technical insight, policy engagement and commitment to professional standards.
The SMSF Association thanks both directors for their valuable contributions to date and looks forward to continuing its strong advocacy for the sector and commitment to member development under the guidance of Mr Hay-Bartlem and Ms Heffron.
