This session will outline some of the issues that arise when SMSF’s own property and will provide practical steps on how to avoid non compliance.
The session will cover:
- What constitutes a ‘lease arrangement’;
- The current state of play with regard to the COVID relief measures for SMSFs holding direct property, and;
- Intermediary Limited Recourse Borrowing Arrangements.
At the end of this session, you will be able to:
Understand the impacts of COVID-19 on property leases and how to ensure the SMSF remains compliant;
Differentiate between traditional Limited Recourse Borrowing Arrangements and Intermediary Limited Recourse Borrowing Arrangements and the associated documentation, and;
Identify how to maintain appropriate documentation in different scenario’s of SMSF property ownership.
