Summary

Shirley is an auditor by training and a SMSF expert by choice. She established a separate Superannuation division at BDO in 1996, recognising the need to provide high quality technical services to clients with self-managed superannuation funds. Shirley is a regular speaker at SMSF & Audit conferences. She provides SMSF competency training for accountants and auditors. She is the co-author of the Thomson Reuters SMSF Audit Guide and winner of multiple SMSF and Audit Awards. She is an Fellow Specialist Adviser and Fellow Specialist Auditor of the SMSF Association (SMSFA); a Fellow of the Association of Superannuation Funds Australia (ASFA); a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ); a Registered SMSF Auditor; and a Registered Company Auditor.
